Race, Gender and Sexuality in the Balkans: Postsocialist Feminist Analytics

Summary:
This book-length project examines relations between groups of women in socialist Bulgaria before, during and after state socialism to develop feminist interpretive paradigm that places social difference at the heart of socialist nation-building and political economy in the 20th century. The book further speaks to contemporary transnational feminist issues of women's solidarity and resistance across national and racial boundaries and amid global capitalism and violence.
