Cultivating Connections: Regeneration through Indigenous Creativity

Join us for the annual TDSB EcoSchools year-end event to connect with colleagues and deepen your understanding about the connections between Indigenous worldviews, sustainability and regeneration. Miinikaan Innovation & Design is an Indigenous-led business that grows Indigenous gardens to nurture people and pollinators in the heart of the city. Learn from the inspiring creative activism of chef/artist Johl Whiteduck Ringuette, who will give a short talk and lead tours of the Miinikaan’s gardens, along with gardener Sara George, and impressive murals of the Red Urban Nation Artist Collective, both of which are found at the TDSB’s Bickford Centre. This event is open to TDSB teachers and staff and members of the OISE community. Light vegetarian refreshments will be provided. There is no cost to attend, although advance registration is required. Spaces are limited, so please register in advance.
