Friday August 24: In This Present Moment


All gathering events will be on the Fifth Floor at OISE, 252 Bloor Street West (St George Subway). Access to building available from subway.  All Friday night events in Community Room


6:00 to 7:00pm 
Meet, Greet & Register. OISE 5th Floor. Name tags for all participants available.  Refreshments. Schedule on Wall. Altar pieces, give-aways, images of ancestors and resource materials can be dropped off.  Drums and other instruments to Community Room (CR).


6:30 to 7:00pm
Heartbeat of Sound (Larry Nusbaum and friends)


7:00 to 7:30pm
Opening; When, Where and Who are gathered here.

Welcome and Intro Video (Ed O’Sullivan and Eimear O’Neill)

7:30 to 8:00 pm
Invocation of Spirit and the Ancestors; Ritual and Ceremony to celebrate our being together. (Diane Longboat Six Nations, with Mayan Elders Apolinaro Chile Pixton, Eduardo Gomez and other indigenous elders)

8 to 9:30 pm
Honouring Indigenous Worlds: Visionary Learning Under the Fifth Sun  (Indigenous Elders begin the Conversation)


9:30 pm
Gathering of Waters with Drumming by Soul of the Mother Six Nations



                         Saturday August 25, 2012:  Becoming a Learning Community

Brief Invocation honouring our shared African source (Belvie Rooks,  Adegboyega Najeem Hammed and Njoki Wane). Community invocation brings each voice in with their ancestors. (CR)


10:15 to 10:30am
Break after brief intro to Circles (CR)


10:30 to 12 noon
Theme Circles: Core Actions and Challenges (Themes on Each Room)


12 to 1:30 p.m
Catered Lunch and Conversations (Feast Room)


1:30 to 3:15pm
Conversation Cafes: Community resourcing of projects and visions (Multiple facilitators and rooms)


3:15 to 3:30pm
Break and Embodied Movement


3:30 to 5:00pm
Occupying Our Destinies; Stepping into Our Collective Future (CR)


5:00 to 6:00pm
Break. Opportunity for outside reverence walk, chats.


6:00 to 7.30pm
Catered Evening Meal and Conversations (FR)

OPEN Mike Soirée:  Joyous Celebration, Music, Poetry and more.
