The wellbeing of our community, including staff & faculty, is one of OISE's top priorities. We are working hard to enhance our wellness programming in response to our community's diverse needs, particularly during these challenging and uncertain times. OISE is committed to promoting learning and practice opportunities that contribute to both individual and collective healing and change.

**Registration is now open for OISE’s Winter Wellness Day 2023!**

On Wednesday, March 8 2023, we invite you to reserve some time in your calendars from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm to participate in as many of the below activities as you find interesting. By registering for a session, you’ll be automatically entered into a draw for an OISE Wellness prize pack. We look forward to learning and practicing with you as we work toward improving both our individual and collective wellness.  


Workshop: Strengthening Workplace Relationships | 10:00am-11:00am | Register

Opening Remarks and Welcome: Dean Erica Walker

With the amount of time spent at work, it might be one of the most important spaces for us to navigate relationships adequately. While building relationships has never been easy, it may feel harder for some with all the time spent in isolation. This workshop will help participants understand the challenges many are experiencing socializing online and in person. Participants will also gain tools and tips on developing and maintaining workplace relationships. 

Eating for Energy | 11:00am-12:00pm | Register

Our facilitator will prepare (and share) recipes to fuel our bodies appropriately to feel energized and focused throughout the day.

Personal Wellness Break | 12:00pm-2:00pm

Dedicated time for participants to practice wellness in their own way.

Better Bedtime Sleep Workshop | 2:00pm-2:50pm | Register

Format: Virtual

Learn what could be stopping you from sleeping soundly, how to establish an effective bedtime routine and sleep environment, how to handle night wakings, and how nutrition, stress and more impact your sleep.

Unwind in our lounge with colleagues while playing board and card games. Light refreshments will be available. 


Staff & Faculty Wellness Program

The Staff & Faculty Wellness program is an opportunity for staff and faculty to become aware of, develop knowledge about, and practice mindfulness for their overall health and well being. The program is intended to improve one's general well-being to impact both their professional and personal lives. 
Successful candidates will have attended at least 5 or more Lunch & Learn sessions and 10 weekly practice or monthly Community of Practice opportunities. Attendance will be verified using Zoom attendance reports. 
To complete the program, complete the Attendance Record (including the Goals and Reflection section) to

Successful staff and faculty who complete the program will receive a $25 Indigo Gift Card.
