OISE Wellness


The wellbeing of our community, including staff & faculty, is one of OISE's top priorities. We are working hard to enhance our wellness programming in response to our community's diverse needs, particularly during these challenging and uncertain times. OISE is committed to promoting learning and practice opportunities that contribute to both individual and collective healing and change.

OISE Winter Wellness Day - Wednesday, March 10, 2021

Every year, OISE hosts various wellness events and activities during the Winter Wellness Day. This year we have 5 virtual events including YOGA with KAPIL & NARAINDRA, Restorative Reset, Redefining Self-Care: Practices to support your mental well-being, Mindful Moments, Meal Planning Made Easy: Delicious Dinners.  You must register for each session. The Cultivating Personal Health and Wellbeing through Mindfulness Co-curricular program was successfully launched for OISE students in 2019/20 with over 120 students registered.  In response to the students' feedback, we expanded our programming this year to include the Mindful Teacher/Educator Lunch & Learn series, a monthly Community of Practice opportunities, and additional weekly practice opportunities in 2020/21.  These offerings are available to the entire OISE community.  

NEW Staff & Faculty Wellness Pilot Program

The new pilot program is an opportunity for staff and faculty to become aware of, develop knowledge about, and practice mindfulness for their overall health and well being. The program is intended to improve one's general well-being to impact both their professional and personal lives. 
Successful candidates will have attended at least 5 or more Lunch & Learn sessions and 10 weekly practice or monthly Community of Practice opportunities. Attendance will be verified using Zoom attendance reports.

Successful staff and faculty who complete the program will receive a $25 Indigo Gift Card.
