ROSE-SPONSORED WEEKLY OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRACTICE

The Registrar's Office & Student Experience (ROSE) at OISE also offers weekly opportunities to practice mindfulness.  Students are invited and encouraged to join any of the sessions offered.

These sessions have concluded for the year.

Mindful Mondays | Mondays | 12:10 - 1:00 pm

These sessions will help you plan out the week ahead of you with a guided, structured, and mindful approach.

Visual Arts-Based Mindfulness  | Fridays | 12:10 - 1:00 pm

These sessions introduce art-making as a tool to connect to the present moment. No previous experience, special materials, or skill level is required.

Métissage |  -

Join us for an evening of mindfulness, writing, and collage as we introduce métissage as a way to connect with yourself and others. Métissage is an arts-based research method that weaves or braids together different accounts of lived human experiences (Hasebe-Ludt et al., 2009; Hasebe-Ludt & Leggo, 2018; Burke & Robinson, 2019). At this session, you will be invited to participate in mindfulness meditation, writing, and collage exercises as a way to explore the present moment, your identity, and/or your relationship with the land.
