Conference Artwork Design Call

Bridging the Divides: Transformation Through, By, and For Education


What comes to mind? What inspires you? Design a conference image to support this year’s theme!

To promote the GSRC 2023, we encourage the OISE community to submit original artwork or graphic design for the conference theme, Bridging the Divides: Transformation Through, By, and For Education, as part of a contest. The winning design will be used on the conference website, programs and banners, posters, and other promotional graphics for the conference.

Other entries will be featured as art installations during the conference.

The winner will be notified by email, announced on the OISE GSRC website and social media, credited in the Conference Abstract book, and receive $75 gift card of their choice, so long as it can be reliably and safely online.

Design Requirements

  • Image needs to be suitable for sizing on various media platforms (i.e., Banners, letterheads, posters, social media posts, cover art, etc.)
  • Can be saved as PNG, JPEG, SVG on a transparent background
  • Paintings and physical artwork need to be scanned in high resolution (1200 pixel wide, 100kb max file size)
  • Recommended digital tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva)
  • Include a description for your artwork to be included in the Conference Abstract book (250 – 500-word count)
  • Adhere to AODA Digital Design Guidelines
  • GSRC and other conference related text is not required in the image, these will be positioned later during the formatting of conference materials
