Dear OISE Students,
Your 2022-2023 Graduate Student Research Conference (GSRC) co-chairs are excited to announce that applications for the 2023 Conference Sub-Committee are now closed!
Please note that you must be an OISE student in order to be a conference subcommittee member.
Conference subcommittee members will receive a $50 honorarium for their time.
We have 4 ways you can get involved as a sub-committee member. Learn more about each role below:
Communications Sub-Committee Responsibilities and Roles (2 Positions)
· Develop a communications plan and create promotional materials to support the awareness and promotion of the OISE 2023 GSRC Conference
· Update the OISE GSRC Website
· Maintain outreach and public relations with the OISE community and affiliated programs
· Attend and support the logistics the day of the conference (all-day March 31st – April 2nd, 2023)
Publications Sub-Committee Responsibilities and Roles (2 Positions)
· Collate, draft, and format the Conference Abstract Book for publication
· Assist in the conference abstract peer review process
· Attend and support the logistics the day of the conference (all-day March 31st – April 2nd, 2023)
Logistics Sub-Committee Responsibilities and Roles (2 Positions)
· Oversee registration and media release form signatures for presenters and participants
· Floor planning, scheduling, and confirming speakers/presenters
· Attend and support the logistics the day of the conference (all-day March 31st – April 2nd, 2023)
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Liaison
· Collaborate and coordinate with all three sub-committees to implement DEI initiatives, and measures to ensure students, faculty and all attending are supported throughout the conference experience
· Works with sub-committees to ensure that guidelines for accessibility and inclusive language are followed
