Biography

Latifa Soliman is a first-year PhD student in Language and Literacies in Education at the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). Her research focuses on educational equity for newcomer and refugee students, examining how international students navigate academic and social integration across different educational contexts. With a background spanning computer science and early childhood education, combined with international teaching and research experience across Egypt, Qatar, and Canada, Latifa brings an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspective to understanding educational access, inclusion, and policy reform.
