Biography
Marcus Chan is an MA student in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of Toronto’s OISE, building on an interdisciplinary background in Knowledge Integration from the University of Waterloo. His research addresses the theory-practice divide in teacher education, using design-based research to create curricular interventions that foster resilience and psychological safety. Specifically, he focuses on operationalizing intrapersonal skills for teacher candidates, such as awareness of cognitive biases and distortions, cultivating a growth mindset, and learning from failure.
