Biography
Mohamed is a second-year PhD student currently completing his clinical training at Sunnybrook Hospital’s Jennifer Tory Trauma Recovery Clinic, where he provides assessment, psychotherapy, and cognitive rehabilitation to adults with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and co-occurring depression and anxiety. His Master’s thesis examined COVID-19–related PTSD symptoms in a nationally representative U.S. sample, identifying distinct avoidance patterns and supporting a dimensional approach to the assessment of PTSD. He previously co-developed Serene, a research-based mobile intervention for depression, and is currently developing an AI-based conversational tool to support mental health treatment.
