Biography

Ruba Kallab is a PhD student examining how trauma informed practice and plurilingual pedagogy intersect with arts based approaches, including music and multilingual identity texts, to support resilience, voice, and well-being in adult language education. Her work also uses participatory action research to understand how teachers perceive and operationalize trauma informed principles in refugee and newcomer focused programs. A keynote speaker, teacher trainer, and active presenter at international and national venues such as IATEFL, TESOL International, TESL Ontario, TESL Alberta, AAAL, CIES, and CSALT, she brings a research grounded and equity driven lens to conversations on humanizing language education.
