Biography

Yuqi Wang is a PhD student investigating how immersive technologies such as virtual reality, 360 degree media, and augmented reality can support equitable access to meaningful and transformative learning opportunities in school and informal settings. Her current work focuses on designing and studying immersive environments for intangible cultural heritage as lived curriculum that foster identity building, emotional engagement, and connection to culture and place. Her work has been recognized through an ACM DIS 2025 Best Paper Honourable Mention Award and supported by competitive funding such as the Waldorf Schools Scholarship for Evidence Based Research.
