Biography

Yuou is a PhD student in Applied Linguistics whose work investigates how written input shapes the way second-language learners hear and produce speech. She focuses on Mandarin-speaking learners of French and English, combining phonetic analysis with an interest in individual differences. Her research sits at the intersection of L2 speech, orthography, and cognitive processing.
