In this Speaker Series event, OISE alum Dr. Zuhra Abawi, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at York University and Dr. Nidhi Menon, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick will present on the topic "Re-centering Voices of Displacement: Refugee-Background Educators and the Politics of Belonging in Canadian Education".

The 2025 CLD 6th Annual Conference provides opportunities for community from different locations and disciplines to come together, engage in critical dialogue, identify actions of resistance to challenge injustices, imagine new kinds of research, and educational praxis.

Dr. Paul Campbell, Assistant Professor, Educational Administration and Leadership in the Faculty of Education. at the University of Hong Kong will present on the topic "‘Principal life histories in relation to education reform: reconceptualising agency and empowerment."

Dr. Rania Sawalhi will examine how faith-based educational leadership can promote justice, equity, and diversity. Drawing on practices from Islamic, Christian, and Buddhist contexts.

The Centre for Leadership & Diversity presents a symposium entitled, "Strategies for Engaging in Anti-Oppression & Decolonizing Educational Leadership in Challenging Times of Attacks on DEI & Equity"
