Action Required: Sign-In Again to Microsoft 365 Services and Applications
-
In Progress
Starting August 7, 2026, members of the OISE community may be required to sign-in again to certain Microsoft 365 applications and services, including OneDrive, Zoom - Microsoft 365 integration, Power BI, and Power Automate.
This change is the result of a new authentication requirement implemented by the University of Toronto as part of its Duo multi-factor authentication (MFA) security enhancements. After completing the sign-in process, OISE community members should be able to continue using these services as usual with the same seamless experience they are familiar with.
Note for Power Automate users:
Existing workflows may be temporarily disrupted until you re-authenticate your Microsoft 365 account. Please sign in again and test your workflows to ensure they are functioning correctly.

Investigating
OISE community members using older desk phones with Microsoft Teams may experience issues when using the Transfer and Hold features. Microsoft is aware of this issue, and a resolution is pending.
In the interim, Education Commons recommends using Microsoft Teams on a desktop, laptop, or mobile device for making and receiving calls whenever possible. This approach provides the most reliable calling experience and helps avoid disruptions.

In ProgressA fix for the OneDrive and SharePoint sharing link issue is currently being implemented.
-
Identified
OISE and University of Toronto community members are currently experiencing issues with sharing links in OneDrive and SharePoint. When links are shared with others, including specifically assigned individuals, recipients may be unable to access the intended files or folders; an error message appears.
The issue has been escalated to Microsoft for investigation. Education Commons will provide updates as they become available.
-
Identified
Education Commons has received reports from members of the OISE community that UTORgrouper is currently unavailable. Instead of accessing the application, users encounter a blank screen that continuously refreshes or receive a notice stating, “An error occurred.”
The issue has been escalated to the central University of Toronto IT team, and we will notify the OISE community as soon as service is restored.
