Quercus - Known Issues

  • In Progress

The following issues have been identified in Quercus impacting the OISE and University of Toronto community. These issues have been reported to Quercus’s parent company, Instructure (Canvas), and updates will be provided as fixes are implemented by the vendor.

    1. Course Import — When using the "Select Specific Content" option during a course import, leaving all items unchecked will still import everything. Canvas is currently working on a fix.
    2. SpeedGrader — Canvas has reached out to the vendor to fully restore the integration. Resolution is in progress.
    3. Cannot Unfavourite Courses Under Past Enrolments — Users are unable to unfavourite (unstar) courses that were favourited while active once they move to Past Enrolments. The user-interface is unresponsive when attempting to click the star icon. No workaround currently available.
    4. File Attachments in Announcement field Unavailable to Users — When users (both students and instructors) preview announcements from the dashboard, attached images, media, and documents return a 403 error and cannot be accessed. There is currently no workaround available.

  • Investigating
We are currently experiencing an issue affecting all users across multiple OISE applications. While logged into these specific OISE applications, users may encounter a “500 – Internal Server Error” when attempting to perform various tasks.

The impacted applications include OISE Bursary Application, OISE Course Planner (OISE CP), OISE Grad Funding, OISE Hiring System, OISE Graduate Student Conference Grant, and Student Supervision.

We are actively investigating the issue, and Education Commons will provide updates to the community as soon as it has been resolved.
