The Robertson Program would like to thank everyone we work alongside for a truly exciting year full of creativity, ingenuity and adventure. We feel incredibly fortunate to be invited into schools, communities and even homes – all in the name of making math and science more accessible to learners of all ages.
Last week, the Robertson Program visited the Rainy River District School Board (RRDSB) to co-create activities focused on shape and spatial relationships that help children recognize relationships between two- and three-dimensional objects.
On June 1, the Robertson Program hosted a public forum highlighting the role of Indigenous educational leadership in improving the understanding of teaching and learning of mathematics.
As the kickoff to this year’s OAME conference (Ontario Association for Mathematics Education), Zack Hawes (Research Officer, OISE’s Robertson Program) and Dr. Cathy Bruce presented to OMCA (Ontario Mathematics Coordinators Association).
The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (Robertson Program for Inquiry-Based Teaching in Mathematics and Science and the Jackman Institute of Child Study) presented a three-day Coding in the Curriculum Workshop led by Dr. Brent Davis, Werklund Research Professor in Mathematics Education from the Werklund School of Education (University of Calgary).
