Learning matters most when it leads to critical and conscious action. Praxis is about designing systems for joy, justice, and liberation. It involves intentionally dismantling what no longer works and co-creating new structures. This stream focuses on putting ideas into practice by working together to build regenerative systems that improve teaching, learning, leadership, and educational systems broadly. Participants test new approaches, learn from what works (and what doesn't), and develop practical solutions that help create more inclusive, equitable, and supportive learning environments.

Guiding Question: How do we move from critical awareness to transformative action in pursuit of liberatory education?

The Praxis Stream focuses on systemic changes in schools, districts, the province, and beyond. Central to the work in this stream is Freire’s conception of praxis as reflection and action upon the world to transform it. This stream supports participants in exploring culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogies, community-grounded approaches to learning, and systems transformation that prioritize relational responsibility over bureaucratic compliance. The stream serves as a space for experimentation, collective problem-solving, and action-oriented inquiry that challenges the status quo of schooling while building tangible, regenerative alternatives rooted in dignity, reciprocity, and liberation.
