Horizon Europe Funding Information Session

Horizon Europe is the European Union’s (EU) main research and innovation program and the world’s largest, with a total budget of €95.5 billion (2021-2027). Canada joined Horizon Europe as an associate country under Pillar II: Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness and Canadian researchers can apply for and receive funding directly from this program as beneficiaries.
The U of T VPRI Horizon Europe support team will be holding a hybrid information session for OISE faculty to introduce the funding program, highlight 2026-2027 calls of interest, and outline the support they offer. This will be an excellent opportunity to gain insights to Horizon Europe.
Connaught New Researcher Award Information and Q&A Session

AI in Education Research: Expanding Possibilities for Inquiry and Impact

How can AI tools reshape the way we design, conduct, and share educational research? This session invites faculty to explore the emerging role of AI in supporting diverse aspects of the research process, from project design and data analysis to writing, dissemination, and measuring impact. Participants will gain insight into current AI capabilities, see demonstrations of tools relevant to both qualitative and quantitative research, and engage in dialogue about academic integrity, transparency, and equity in the age of AI. The session aims to spark new ideas and equip researchers with knowledge to thoughtfully integrate AI into their own projects.
