OISE Teaching Awards 2020-2021 – Call for Nominations

Dear OISE Community,

I am pleased to announce the Call for Nominations for the 2021-22 OISE Teaching Excellence Awards.

These awards recognize outstanding contributions to teaching and learning, and celebrate the achievements of faculty undertaking innovative activities in teaching.

Teaching plays a central role at OISE, and it is essential for our community to reaffirm this importance and honour those who make significant contributions to the lives and educational experiences of our students. I encourage you to consider nominating one or two of the excellent, inspiring teachers at OISE.

Nominations are welcome from the OISE community in the following categories:

  • David E. Hunt Award for Excellence in Graduate Education
  • Award for Excellence in Initial Teacher Education
  • Award for Excellence in Educational Leadership
  • Award for Distinguished Contributions to Teaching

The awards descriptions and criteria are available on the Teaching Awards website, as well as the nomination and selection process.

To nominate someone whose teaching is truly exceptional, please download and use the Guidelines for Preparing an OISE Teaching Award Nomination Package for information and advice on how to structure/organize your nomination package.

All materials (i.e., nomination brief, nomination letter, evidence of excellence, nominee’s statement of teaching philosophy, letters of support) should be integrated into the nomination package—a single PDF file not exceeding 50-pages. The nominee’s CV (not included in page allowance) should be submitted as a separate attachment along with the nomination package via email to oise.programs@utoronto.ca by Friday, January 28, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Thank you for your participation.

Sincerely,
