In this virtual session, all students, entrepreneurs, and education leaders are invited to explore an authentic view of education entrepreneurship as it is practiced today: complex, contextual, and deeply human. Learn how innovative leadership is shaped in classrooms and education systems and glean new insights from global education enterprises.

Featuring OISE Professors Lance McCready and Jen Gilbert. Together, this panel will examine how policy shapes lived experiences of sexuality, gender, health, and belonging. Their work sheds light on the critical importance of research on reproductive rights and LGBTQ+ communities during a time when federal policies are actively restricting bodily autonomy, gender recognition, and access to healthcare and education.

This year’s conference theme, Generative Hope: Possibilities in Education Research, is inspired by a sustainability ethos embodied by advocates of hope including bell hooks, Paolo Freire, Rebecca Solnit, Jane Goodall, and more. Come explore exciting OISE student research, issues in radical hope, and new ideas at the 2026 GSRC!
